Synopsis |
Hair extensions – they are the answer to the prayers of hundreds of thousands of Western women a year, women who are less than happy with the hair nature gave them.
80 percent of the human hair imported by the industrialised world comes from India, where the raw material is available in abundance.
Because India doesn't have the industrial capability to process the hair, however, most of it makes a detour on its way to the markets of the West: it passes through Shandong Province in Eastern China, which is the hair-processing centre of the world, the source of 70 percent of all the hairpieces in use. |
